Very rare visitor from Mexico to the mountains of southeastern Arizona. Considered extremely rare in Texas. It is also found in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras
Characteristics and Identification
Brilliant green head with chestnut wings, rump and tail. Its lower abdomen is buff to whitish-gray. The bill is straight, black on top, red-orange below.
